How to install your screen protector
Easier than a phone protector — the surface is bigger, flatter and there is no curved edge to fight. The only thing that separates a perfect install from a frustrating one is dust control, so most of this guide is about that.
Three minutes of prep saves the install
Everything below is about controlling dust and temperature. Get these right and the rest is mechanical.
Park in shade, cool the panel
A dashboard in direct sun can pass 60°C. Adhesive grabs too fast on hot glass and you lose your alignment window. Wait until the panel is cool to the touch.
Kill the airflow
Turn the AC off or point the vents away from the dash. Moving air across a freshly cleaned screen is the fastest way to land new dust on it.
Wash your hands, work indoors if you can
Skin oil on the adhesive side leaves a permanent mark. A garage or covered parking beats a driveway on a windy day.
Four steps, about two minutes
Everything you need is in the box: protecterr screen protector, wet wipe, dry wipe, dust sticker, squeegee, installation guide.
Clean
Park in shade and let the dashboard cool. Wipe the display with the wet wipe, working outwards from the centre so you push dirt off the panel rather than around it.
Cool glass first — adhesive misbehaves on a hot dash.
Dry & de-dust
Buff dry with the dry wipe, then lift every remaining speck with the dust sticker. Hold the screen at an angle to the light — that is the only way to see the fine dust that ruins an install.
Angle the screen to a light source. Dust hides head-on.
Align
Peel about a third of the backing. Rest the protector against the top edge of the display and line up the corners before any adhesive touches the glass. Take your time here — this is the step that decides the result.
Align dry first. You get one clean landing.
Lay & squeegee
Lower it slowly while pulling the rest of the backing away. Sweep the squeegee from the centre outwards to push air to the edges. Small bubbles clear themselves within a day as the adhesive settles.
Trapped a bubble? A dust speck is under it — lift that corner.
Six mistakes that ruin an otherwise good install
Every one of these comes from real support messages. None of them are obvious the first time.
Fitting it on a hot dashboard
Park in shade and let the panel cool to touch temperature
Warm adhesive grabs before you have finished aligning, and warm glass off-gasses moisture that shows as haze under the film for the first day.
Cleaning with a household glass spray
Use only the wet wipe supplied in the kit
Ammonia-based cleaners attack the factory anti-glare coating, and any residue stops the adhesive bonding evenly.
Checking for dust head-on
Angle the screen against a light source
Fine dust is invisible when you look straight at a dark screen. Tilt it until light rakes across the surface and every speck shows up.
Peeling the whole backing off at once
Peel about a third, align, then pull the rest as you lay it down
A fully exposed adhesive face attracts airborne dust in seconds and gives you no chance to correct alignment.
Pressing hard to push out a stubborn bubble
Lift that corner, remove the speck, lay it back down
A bubble that will not move has something solid under it. Pressing harder just polishes the dust into the factory screen.
Installing with the engine running and AC on full
Switch the vents away from the dashboard
Airflow across the panel is the fastest way to blow new dust onto a freshly cleaned surface.
